The Team

Angela Berliner (Playwright/Artistic Director L’Enfant Terrible/Producer): Angela is a nationally produced playwright. The Rose Tree was born from all the sad stories, fictional and real, of the lost, missing, and unwanted kids in the world. “I wanted to give them a safe place to go; a home. And that became the Rose Tree.”

Efrain Schunior (Director/Open Fist): Efrain received his MFA in Directing from UCLA and has directed theatre around Los Angeles as well as music videos and short films. He is also the writer/director of the cult telenovela spoof Stallions de Amor, which is premiering its 2nd season soon. He is a lifelong lover of fairy tales and is thrilled to be involved with The Rose Tree.

Jordana Berliner (Producer/Open Fist): Jordana has a B.A. in theatre and an M.A. in psychology. Jordana believes The Rose Tree is a timeless play that gives voices to children who have been abandoned, abused, and/or neglected. The Rose Tree shows the importance of healthy interpersonal relationships in healing past abuses.
